If your Camaro has factory manual AC and the climate controls do not respond correctly after a Tesla style radio installation, check the radio's vehicle protocol. On the Drimatt unit shown here, the default AC profile is automatic. For a car with manual AC, select LuZheng > General Motors > Camaro > Manual Climate, then tap OK to reboot.
This guide covers the menus in the photos below. If your original AC type or radio menus are different, contact Drimatt support before changing the profile.
Check that your Camaro has factory manual AC
The original climate panel below is the manual AC reference for this procedure. If you are unsure which AC system your car has, send support a photo of the original panel.
Open the radio's vehicle protocol settings
1. Open the System app
In the app list, tap System, the app with the gear icon.
2. Select the System tab
On the settings screen, tap System in the top row.
3. Open Setting guide
Tap Setting guide on the System screen.
4. Open Vehicle Type Protocol Selection
Tap Vehicle Type Protocol Selection.
5. Enter the password 8861
Enter 8861, then tap the check mark at the bottom right of the keypad.
Select the Camaro Manual Climate profile
6. Choose the four settings in order
Use these exact menu labels. General Motors is the GM option in this menu.

7. Confirm the profile and reboot
The confirmation dialog should show:
LuZheng_General Motors_Camaro_Manual Climate
Check the complete profile, then tap OK and wait for the head unit to reboot.
Test the climate controls after reboot
Check that each control responds correctly:
- AC on and off
- Fan speed
- Temperature adjustment
- Airflow direction
If the controls still do not respond correctly, email support@drimatt.store. Include your Camaro's year, order number, a photo of the original climate panel, a photo of the current protocol settings and a short description of what is not working. This profile change does not resolve every possible AC fault.
Questions about Manual Climate
Is this the same as turning off AUTO on the climate screen?
No. Manual Climate is a vehicle protocol option in the radio's settings. This procedure matches that profile to a car with factory manual AC.
Should I select Manual Climate if my Camaro has automatic AC?
This procedure is for factory manual AC. If your car has automatic AC, ask support to confirm the appropriate profile for your unit.
